Intercropping sugarcane and foxtail millet – Prakash shares his experience

Prakash, a senior SKMS Saathi, lives in Pipri village, Mishrikh block, Sitapur district. Since 2014, he has been trying to cultivate millets with limited success. One year, rain washed away his seeds, while goats wiped out his crop another time. In 2016, his finger millet crop was looking promising, but another villager mistook it for grass and harvested it! Finally, he decided to try intercropping with sugarcane. Here is his story (in Hindi):
